Profile – David Allan
David Allan is married to Paula and has three children, Rachel, Cherie and Daniel. He was born and raised in Brisbane and after leaving school completed a trade in auto-electrics. While completing his trade, he was involved as a lay team member in planting a church, which created a strong desire for further church planting. After finishing his trade he moved to the USA to complete a 4 year theological degree studying Cross Cultural Mission and New Testament Greek. While in the USA, he was on a team that planted a church, which successfully became self-sustaining after one year.
After theological studies in the U.S. he returned to Australia and Pastored a Baptist Church near Albury Wodonga for five years. During that time he supported the planting of another church, transitioning it to become self-supporting. He then moved to the Sunshine Coast and Pastored for another 5 years where he planted another church within the existing building, by starting a second service of a completely different style and focus.
He then joined with Forge Qld, and experimented with a team of leaders in more organic styles of church. He has experienced both the highs and the lows of ministry and enjoys helping people increase spiritual health, strategic focus for success and leadership development. In 2003, he started his own coaching practice, where he works with coaching executives in business and leaders in all types of Christian ministry.
